In the 5th day of the fifth month of the Chinese lunar calendar, it is the traditional Dragon Boat Festival in China, also known as duyang, five and five. As early as the Zhou Dynasty, there was a custom of ^v^storing lanes and bathing in May 5th^v^. But today, many activities of Dragon Boat Festival are related to commemorating Qu Yuan, a great Chinese writer.

In the Warring States period, Chu and Qin scramble for hegemony, and the poet Qu Yuan was highly valued by the king of Chu. However, Qu Yuan\'s claim was opposed by the old official of Shangguan doctor Jin Shang. He continued to slander Qu Yuan in front of the king of Chu Huai, and the king of Chu Huai gradually alienated Qu Yuan, and the ambitious Qu Yuan felt much pain, and he was with a melancholy and indignation that was difficult to suppress. He wrote the immortal poems such as Li Sao and Tian Xiang. In 229 BC, Qin conquered eight cities in Chu state, and then sent envoys to King Chu Huai to go to the Qin state. Qu Yuan saw through the conspiracy of King Qin and risked death into the palace to state his interests. Instead of listening, Chu Huai Wang drove Qu Yuan out of Ying Du. When King Chu Huai arrived at the meeting as scheduled, he was imprisoned in Qin state. He was filled with regret and depression. He died in Qin after three years. Soon after the king of Chu defeated the king, he sent troops to attack the state of Chu. On the way of exile, Qu Yuan heard the death of King Huai king and the bad news of Ying City to break through.

The fishermen on the river and the people on the shore heard that Dr. Qu Yuan threw himself into the river and came to the river to salvage the corpse of Qu Yuan. (the custom later evolved into a dragon boat race). In addition, the Dragon poured the realgar wine into the river so that the animals could not be hurt. After a long time, a faint dragon was floating on the surface of the water, and the dragon was still covered with a piece of doctor\'s dress. People pulled the dragon on the shore, pulled out the tendons, then wrapped the dragon in the hands and neck of the children, then used the realgar wine, and some were still writing a ^v^King^v^ on the forehead of the children to make the poison. Snake pests don\'t dare to hurt them. From then on, at the beginning of May every year in the early May, the people of the state of Chu state the dragon boat on the river, throw the zongzi and drink the male yellow rice wine to commemorate the poet, the custom of the Dragon Boat Festival has been spread like this.

Looking forward to the stars, looking forward to the moon, the Dragon Boat Festival has finally arrived, and the family is eager to pack up zongzi. The morning before, mom and grandma took out the sticky rice, washed the zongzi leaves, and began to make dumplings.

I never had rice dumplings, so I said to my mother, ^v^Mom, I can\'t make rice dumplings. Can you teach me?^v^ Mom said, ^v^yes, zongzi is easy to learn, but it is very difficult to start packing. You must be patient. First, fold up two pieces of bamboo leaves and fold them into funnel shapes. Note that the volume should be as tight as possible, otherwise it will leak rice when cooked. ^v^ I followed my mother to make a dump for Ye Diecheng.

Then put in the sticky rice, but don\'t put it too full. If you like to eat red rice dumplings, you can put one or two small red dates in it.

^v^Before sealing it, sprinkle some water on the glutinous rice, then cover the remaining zongzi\'s leaf on the big mouth of the funnel. Now the zongzi becomes a triangle cone, and then the remainder leaves the dumplings wrapped in the dumplings. Finally, tie the zongzi with a rope or Ma Lan\'s leaf. ^v^ This step is very critical, which is simple and difficult to do. Little zongzi leaves are ^v^naughty^v^, that is, they do not listen to me, ^v^tease^v^ me for a long time. When I wanted to wrap up the zongzi, I always had rice leaks in it. I was angry and shouted. At last, under the guidance of my mother, I took the power of nine cattle and two tigers, and finally wrapped a zongzi. Although the shape is not very beautiful, it is the best one I have.

Next, we start to cook dumplings. First put the dumplings in the pot, put the pot curtain on the top of the rice dumplings, then put a basin of water on the pot curtain. Finally, pour the water along the side of the pot and cook it for 40 minutes. The fragrant rice dumplings will go out.

On the morning of the Dragon Boat Festival, my mother gave me a five color line, and told me not to break or discarded, only to throw it away in the first rain after the Dragon Boat Festival. My mother also told me the origin of the colorful line, which symbolizes the five color dragon, which can defeat the ghosts and take away all diseases. We also planted the wormwood on the door and hung the paper gourd, which was full of festive atmosphere.

After finishing all these in the morning, today\'s main character, zongzi, is finally on the stage. The white dumplings are white and sweet. They are fragrant and sweet. They are soft and sticky. They are delicious.

May five, is the dragon, door , fragrant full. Eat zongzi, sprinkle white sugar, dragon boat, and water.

The celebration is a time for protection from evil and disease for the rest of the year.

It is done so by different practices such as hanging healthy herbs on the front door, drinking nutritious concoctions and displaying portraits of evil\'s nemesis,Chung Kuei. If one manages to stand an egg on it\'s end at exactly 12:00 noon, the following year will be a lucky one.

Today is the 5th day of the fifth month of the Chinese lunar calendar Dragon Boat Festival, also known as Dragon Boat Festival, Dragon Festival, May Festival, AI Festival, end five, heavy noon, noon, summer festival. Although the names are different, the customs of people across the country are the same. The Dragon Boat Festival is the old custom of more than two thousand years in our country. Every day, every household has hung Zhong Kui like, hanging Acorus leaf, eating dragon boat, eating rice dumplings, drinking male yellow wine, swimming hundreds of diseases and wearing sachets.

In the morning, our family began packing zongzi, ready to feed my stomach ^v^roundworm^v^. Speaking of the Dragon Boat Festival, you must not know the knowledge of the Dragon Boat Festival. Let me tell you about the Dragon Boat Festival.

Speaking of the Dragon Boat Festival, we must invite a poet to let him start talking about him first, but where is this man sacred? He is the famous patriotic poet Qu Yuan. Qu Yuan was the person who went abroad during the Warring States period, and was very learned. He is an official of the king of Chu and his image is his country\'s prosperity and strength. King Jun, however, listened to the words of a treacherous official, and reduced Qu Yuan to his post and exile. In exile, Qu Yuan heard that the capital of Chu was occupied by the enemy, and the people were in distress and grieved. On the five day of early May, he came to the riverside of Miluo, embracing a stone and plunged into Miluo river. The people who went abroad heard the news of Qu Yuan throwing into the river. They were very sad. They came to salvage Qu Yuan with tears in their boats, and threw the dumplings into the river to feed the fish, hoping that the fish would not hurt Qu Yuan\'s body. This is the origin of the duyang zongzi in May.

Let\'s talk about the Dragon Boat Festival. At that time, the Chu people died because of their reluctant Qu Yuan, so many people went boating to catch up with the rescue. When they scrambled to catch up with Dongting Lake, they did not see the trail, which was the origin of dragon boat racing. After May 5th, they rowed dragon boats to commemorate it. The dragon boat was used to disperse the fish in the river so that the fish would not eat the body of Qu Yuan. The habit of racing is popular in Wu, Yue and Chu. In the twenty-nine year of Emperor Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty, there was a dragon boat race in Taiwan. At that time, Jiang Yuanjun, the governor of Taiwan, hosted a friendly competition in the half moon pool at FA Hua Temple in Tainan. Now Taiwan holds dragon boat races every May 5th.

How this is my collection of Dragon Boat Festival knowledge, now we have a certain understanding of the Dragon Boat Festival, now is it to be sorry for the great patriotic poet Qu Yuan? If the king of Chu is not alone, I think Qu Yuan will bring us a lot of immortal poems, but Qu Yuan\'s plunge into the heart of the people, he left not only the solemn and stirring poetry or the spirit of self-improvement. I believe that great patriotic poets will always be in people\'s hearts.

As a minister in the State of Chu - one of the seven warring states before Qin (221BC - 206BC) in China\'s first feudal dynasty - Qu Yuan supported the decision to fight against the powerful State of Qin (one of the seven states during the Warring States Period (476 BC - 221 BC)) together with the State of Qi (ibid). However he was slandered by the aristocrat Zi Lan and was subsequently exiled by the King. In order to show his love and passion for his country, he wrote many enduring poems such as Li Sao (The Lament), Tian Wen (Asking Questions to the Heaven) and Jiu Ge (Nine Songs) and is therefore regarded as a famous poet in China\'s history. In 278 BC, after finishing his last masterpiece - Huai Sha (Embracing the Sand), he drowned himself in the river rather than see his country occupied and conquered by the State of Qin.

On hearing of Qu Yuan\'s death, all the local people nearby were in great distress. Fishermen searched for his body by sailing their boats down the river and other people threw food such as eggs and food like zongzi into the river to attract fish and other animals from destroying Qu Yuan\'s body. Later, many people imitated these acts to show their respect for this great patriotic poet and this practice continues today.

Because Qu Yuan died on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, people decided to commemorate him on that day every year. Dragon boat racing and eating zongzi have become the central customs of the festival. For two thousand years, Qu Yuan\'s patriotic spirit has influenced numerous people and he remains revered by the people from all over the world.

^v^Dumplings incense, incense kitchen. Ai grass incense, incense fertility. Peach sticks ed in the door, looking out of wheat yellow. Duanyang here, there duanyang, everywhere duanyang.^v^

This is the song grandma taught me during the Dragon Boat Festival. Remember father always told me about his childhood, in his story, the Dragon Boat Festival for he is a curious and expectant festival: in early summer the night of the festival, which opened a rice dumplings, house full of fragrance, you gather in together, kids pestering adults tell the story of the familiar can\'t get enough but: more than two thousand years ago, the ancient Chinese wars, in the day of the fifth lunar month, is a patriotic poet still see their country is faced with crisis of subjugation, and his heart ambition is not possible, grief at his arms for the stones into the miluo river waves roll, he was qu yuan; Fishermen rowing the boat, and search for their love of qu yuan, in order to let the fish in the water they don\'t eat qu yuan\'s body, the glutinous rice wrapped in bamboo leaves, faint scent, throw into the river... Every time the story is told, the grown-ups will point to the sky and say, ^v^look, the brightest star in the sky is the one that qu yuan has turned into.^v^ And the children would look up at the deep sky and look for the brightest star.

After another year, do you have any expectations for the Dragon Boat Festival? Eating zongzi, can you eat the story in zongzi? Can you see the shining star in the sky?

From the ground up, large fields of wheat have disappeared, and on the edge of the city, it is hard to see the sight of ^v^go out and see the yellow.^v^ Is it, the transformation of space and time, whether the Dragon Boat Festival is also in the squeeze of the concrete and steel the farther and farther away? The noisy cities, which carry too much of the appetite of the people, the joys of our fathers, have drowned in the flashing neon lights of the city?

We have already can\'t understand when fathers are looking forward to, as long as I want to, can eat to all kinds of dumplings, and the taste of zongzi also seems to be the more to also boring, and we are interested in is smiling McDonald\'s uncle, the personality of the KFC grandpa; We also have a lack of interest in that old story, as long as I think I can always watch Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck on the Internet! I also think that some of the songs that my grandmother taught me were a bit old-fashioned, as long as I thought, I can always record rock songs in my MP3 player!

But don\'t we feel the lack of something? We seem to lack some happiness, lack of yearning, and a lack of responsibility. In the noise, we are getting lost!

celebration of the dragon boat festival

origin of the dragon boat festival

officially on falling on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, the dragon boat festival is also known as double fifth day. while many stories regarding its origin abound, the most popular and widely accepted version regards qu yuan, a minister during the warring states period (475 - 221 bc)

legend of the dragon boat festival\'s origin

at the end of the zhou dynasty, the area we now know as china had fallen into a state of fragmentation and conflict. while the zhou dynasty had ruled for several centuries, several other states, originally feudal domains, tried to carve out their own kingdoms. the state of qin would eventually emerge the victor and unify all of china under one rule for the first time in history.

qu yuan served as minister to the zhou emperor. a wise and articulate man, he was loved by the common people. he did much to fight against the rampant corruption that plagued the court-- thereby earning the envy and fear of other officials. therefore, when he urged the emperor to avoid conflict with the qin kingdom, the officials pressured the emperor to have him removed from service. in exile, he traveled, taught and wrote for several years. hearing that the zhou had been defeated by the qin, he fell into despair and threw himself into the milou river. his last poem reads:

many a heavy sigh i have in my despair, grieving that i was born in such an unlucky time. i yoked a team of jade dragons to a phoenix chariot, and waited for the wind to come, to sour up on my journey as he was so loved by the people, fishermen rushed out in long boats, beating drums to scare the fish away, and throwing zong zi into the water to feed braver fish so that they would not eat qu yuan\'s body.

The patriotic poet qu yuan had a good idea to be a rich man, but he was banished from the palace without being accepted by the king. He was so angry that he jumped out of the river. The local fisherman paddled the boat to the river to quyuan. Later, they changed the rice from the bamboo tube to the zongzi, and changed the boat into a dragon boat to commemorate qu yuan. Although the raw materials of my mother\'s dumplings are extremely simple, the dumplings made of them are delicious. The smell of incense makes you want to stir up your appetite as soon as you smell it. As long as there is a zongzi at your table, you will eat it. Therefore, whenever I eat zongzi, I always eat a lot, probably because it is too close to my taste!
