二、主动学习，音标先行

英语学科的学习过程主要包括预习、上课、复习。牛津教材与以往教材的不同在于它增加了大量由学生独立完成的练习，而词汇和知识点渗透其中，这就要求学生必须做好预习工作，在质疑中自主学习知识，从而体验到上英语课的“成就感”。但英语学科的特殊性又决定了它的预习具有一定的难度，那么音标的教学显得至关重要。

笔者认为，在学完字母及若干基本词汇之后，要打破教材的编排顺序，系统讲授音标知识。可采用“分散归纳”的教法，及时利用字母以及一定量的词汇归纳出音标，教授读音规则，如：字母组合的发音、辅音连缀、多音节的划分等，读音规则与音标结合起来，给学生记忆单词的拐杖。也可以在音标教学中，编一些与音素相关的歌谣、绕口令及小短文，让学生在有趣的活动中巩固枯燥的音标读音规则，为将来成功记忆单词打好基础。

当然，音标的教学不能孤立的进行，应结合单词来认识其读音，这样将起到事半功倍的效果。掌握了音标，学生可自行拼读和记忆单词，既减轻了教师的负担，又增强了学生学习英语的信心和能力。

三、课堂设趣，寓教于乐

“兴趣是最好的老师”。只有不断地激发学生的兴趣，调动其积极性，才能持之以恒地学好英语。

教师在教学中要善于运用丰富多采的教学方法和手段，让学生做到听、说、读、写并举，眼、耳、口、鼻、脑并用。单词教学中，可以采用实物、彩图、卡片、简笔画等教学手段来加强教学的取见性，激发学生兴趣，或者在课前进行词汇、听写接力赛；句型教学中常用的方法有表演法、竞赛法和游戏法。七年级学生表现欲强，可以让学生利用每课前五分钟的表演来巩固已学句子，如购物、就医等。同桌表演对话，会什么，说什么，不搞每错必纠，减轻学生的心理压力。巩固单词和词组时，我经常采用“竞赛法”，以小组为单位，拼写单词或翻译词组，评出“thebestteam”，培养他们的合作精神，激发学习的热情。
