About Examination

I don\'t remember how many examinations I\'ve taken since I began my schooling. To tell the truth， I don\'t like examinations at all. I dare say that， in fact， no student likes examinations.

We often hear people say “Examinations are teachers\' magic weapon”， so most of us may think it is our teachers who give us students so many examinations. But I don\'t think so. Almost all of them have once been students before they became teachers. We don\'t like examinations， and neither do our teachers， which may be reasonably concluded. What\'s more， the more examinations we take， the more time will be taken from our teachers and the more trouble our teachers have to take.

It is the system in our country， I think， that gives us students so many examinations. If there were no entrance examinations， and all the students could go up to the higher grades without competition， there would not be so many examinations in primary and middle schools. So it is important and necessary to reform the test system. Only in this way can examinations be greatly reduced， and then all the students will be happier.

Internet and Our Life

Internet is now one of the best forms of media, with its swiftness and interactivity. Internet is becoming the foundation of our modern society.

With the assistance of Internet, more people can now communicate with one another more freely and quickly. Internet also serves to be a great source of wisdom and creation. It is already becoming the electronic library of the future, giving vent to creativity and ingenuity unparalleled in human history. But Internet is a double-bladed sword. Women, Second-class Citizens?

Women won their independence years ago. After a long, bitter struggle, they now enjoy the same educational opportunities as men in most parts of the world.

But the hard-fought battle for recognition is by no means over. Top-level political negotiation between countries, business and banking are almost entirely controlled by men, who jealously guard their so-called “rights”. Even in the very progressive places like Switzerland, women haven’t been given the vote. Women continue to be regarded as second-rate citizens. Women are said to be unreliable and irrational. They depend too little on cool reasoning and too much on intuition and instinct to arrive at decisions. They are not even capable of thinking clearly.

In fact, women have succeeded in many jobs, as politicians doctors, university professors, farmers, company directors, lawyers, bus-conductors, scientists, etc.. And we must remember that they frequently succeed brilliantly in all these fields in addition to bearing and rearing children. In conclusion, women have proved repeatedly that they are equal and sometimes even superior to men in many fields. The women should not belong to a different species.

英语议论文的写作思路

首先议论文的总体思路就是提出论点，解释论点。一般议论文用总分总的结构非常清晰明了。因此所有议论文要做的第一件事就是提出论点。怎样提出呢？有几种方法：第一可以先举例引出文章主题。例如论述消极和积极的态度时，可以用一个这样的例子引出，有些人总是抱怨工作太累，报酬不多，顺着这个思路就可以提出观点，这种抱怨不但不能改变现状，反而会让自己的情绪变得更坏，与其用消极的态度看待生活，不如换一个角度积极地看待问题。

用例子引出话题时，可以用这样的句型：

There are some people who …

对例子进行评述可以是积极的评价可以使消极的评价，可以用一个让步状语从句先阐述一下相反的情况有哪些原因，然后提出文章的观点，可以用这样的句型：

Though sth may be … it is still …

例如：Though not every job meets your expectation, it is still not a good idea to just complain and do nothing to change the situation.

提出了论点以后就是对论点进行说明了。说明一个论点是通常提出几个分论点，对总论点进行支撑。提出观点有一些固定说法可以用：

as far as I am concerned / In my opinion

就上面的例子来看，as far as I am concerned, negative attitude can do no good to anyone.

要说积极的态度比消极的态度好，那么可以提出两个分论点：一积极的态度可以让自己心态更好，凡事都能够看到好的一面，消极的态度会让自己陷入死胡同；二积极的态度可以影响周围的人，有时可以把不利的情况转变成有利的局面，消极的态度也会感染他人，并让别人对自己产生不好的印象。

议论文经常是对两种观点或两种现象进行比较，交给大家一个比较两种观点的句型：

在提出论点时，还要有对论点的支撑，可以提出例子，可以指出相反的观点的谬误，还可以进行推理解释，推出论点。

提出论点、证明论点都结束了以后，最好再对论点进行总结，归纳全文的观点。
